Skin tones often slip past the overall concept behind my photos, although ethnicity has been a major role in some of my ideas. When I met Nicole, she immediately inspired a spark, a flare of a vision, imagination mixed with fairy tale. A dash of culture minus the vogue.
Nicole’s complexion is extremely flattering, combined with beautiful brunette hair, she escapes a distinguishable ancestry. Beyond curious myself, I realized she could play many roles, including one so far and away, you would need a magic carpet to see for yourself. A reference of sexy is most likely an unspoken expectation.
A developed concept can still unravel and become a mess while shooting. Inspite of a great team, and props in place, I became nervous that I may have been far too ambitious with my imagination. Tweaking here and there during the shoot, Megan and Amber both made sure every detail was perfect in place. Nicole was relaxed and confident, she received direction as encouragement, and almost glowed with excitement behind her grins. Anxiety ran through my legs until final review later that night of the amazing images we captured.
Striking portraits, fantastic form, playful tease.
Finally, the vision behind the production. Magic Dust floats through my studio…
- Extract image from studio background
- Smooth, clean, touch up skin and edges
- Introduce Background Scene
- Apply Coloring, Shadows, Highlights, Tones
- Apply Cloud/Fog to levitate the Carpet
- Sprinkle some Magic Dust
- Create Night Sky
- Release to the crowds
